A Tribute to Tall People

Having assessments due brings out the best in me :)

Here's a tribute to those dedicated individuals... those proud, and yet, humble heroes who have broken the height barrier and who truly are giants among us!

Everyone looks up to you! and yet they dont understand what it's like! the chill of fear that comes when riding a rollercoaster, knowing that, as the tallest one in the cart, it will surely be you that gets decapitated when entering that way too short tunnel up ahead!
Those who are not tall can never understand the danger posed by ceiling fans, archways, and low hanging lights, or The crippling problems that will surely haunt you all in your middle age, as your stoop worsens to spinal bending proportions as a result of having to look down to talk to everyone.
The Non-Talls can never know the difficulty of finding clothes that actually cover the length of their arms, or know the hardships of having to choose a car based on how much headroom it gives.

Tall people are called on to reach into the dangerous and dusty places where the short-arms cannot go! and thus, are succeptable to any sort of unpleasantnesses ranging from rat bites, to having cockoroaches crawl up the length of our arms!
This is to say nothing of walking in the outdoors and being fair game to any spider who happens to have the skill of web-spinning! (even while the shorter person in front of you walks by, unassailed).

Those unblessed by Tallness will always say that 'you get the best view of things' never remembering that this same feat opens you up to the angry and often hurtful remarks of those behind you, complaining that you are in their way and inconsiderate! Tall people also have the unenviable ability to be easier targets for all manner of flying objects and other assorted practical jokes!

Remember this famous quote! "If I have seen further it is by standing on ye shoulders of Giants!" - Issac Newton Tall people are the backbone of our society!

So here's to all you great Tall people out there! I am proud to count myself one of your number! Stand straight! Stand strong! Stand Together! We have the height, and we are proud of it!
